The Jury family lived at Waverley Place, in Bowmanville, Ontario from 1901 to 1960. In 1960 the home was established as the Bowmanville Museum, now a part of Clarington Museums and Archives.
The home was originally built in 1847 by the Fisher family and given the name “Waverley Place” by David Fisher. The Fishers lived in the home until 1901 when it was sold to the Jury family.
